Sonne Studios is a Baltimore photo and production studio with five unique spaces, built to give artists room to create their best work. Photographers, podcasters, brands, and creatives shoot here every week, and our work and clients include Apple, Adobe, NPR, and NBC News. Our community events draw creatives from across the DMV and as far as Florida, North Carolina, and France, and we're opening Sonne Haus, a new event and community space upstairs. This is a role of luxury hospitality, service, and creativity. You'll be the face of Sonne on-site. You'll welcome every client, keep our studios immaculate, support shoots, and photograph sessions yourself. Your lane is events: you'll curate, promote, and host the workshops, meetups, and creative experiences that bring people into Sonne Studios and Sonne Haus. You'll work alongside our Content Lead, and you'll help each other, but events are yours to own.You're the Perfect Fit for Sonne If You Can:
Deliver exceptional hospitality
Greet every renter and client warmly, by name whenever possible, and help them feel at home in our studios and common areas
Get to know our returning clients and make every visit feel personal
Arrive 30 minutes before your first booking and stay 30 minutes after your last to prepare and reset
Keep every studio and common area immaculate, beautifully styled, and camera-ready throughout the day
During bookings, respond to client calls, texts, and emails promptly, and keep every space in order. There's always something to do.
Help clients set up photo and video equipment, backdrops, and props, and make sure studio rules and guidelines are followed
Assist our lead photographer on client shoots
Photograph and edit studio sessions such as headshots and portraits, delivered within 48 hours
Own events
Plan and host workshops, meetups, and creative events across Sonne Studios and Sonne Haus, bringing the same standard of hospitality to every guest
Recruit and coordinate partners, instructors, vendors, and collaborators
Promote events through social posts, listings, and email so every room is full
Share an event recap within a week of each event
Bring your weekly progress and ideas to our Tuesday team meeting
Qualifications
A natural talent for anticipating needs. You notice what people like and remember it.
Warm, gracious hospitality and a genuine desire to exceed expectations
Fast, reliable communication. You respond promptly to calls, texts, and emails, and nothing sits unanswered.
Experience planning, promoting, or hosting events
Working knowledge of digital photography and studio shooting
Working knowledge of continuous, RGB, and strobe lighting, plus equipment safety
Editing experience in Lightroom and/or Photoshop
Proactive and able to deliver results with limited instruction
Extreme punctuality and consideration for others' time
Excellent verbal and written communication
Strong attention to detail and organization
A polished, well-groomed presentation and willingness to follow our studio dress code
Comfort with physical work like lifting gear, resetting sets, and cleaning
Must live within about 45–60 minutes of Baltimore City
Preferred, But Not Required
Experience in luxury hospitality, boutique hotels, fine dining, or event venues
Connections in Baltimore's creative and arts community
Set building and design experience
Comfort using AI tools to plan, write, and organize

Schedule
Hybrid: 3 studio days per week plus 6 paid Create hours
Studio days: Choose 3 regular days from Sunday–Friday, including at least one Sunday or Monday. Hours are booking-based within 9 a.m.–5 p.m., and you're free to leave during long gaps.
Create hours: 3 hours for your events work and 3 hours for ideation, protected and uninterrupted. Create hours are separate from booking time. Use open time between bookings, work from home, or both. AI tools are welcome.
Team meeting: Tuesdays at 11:45 a.m., paid
Closed Saturdays [except occasional winter dates]
Compensation

Photograph our studios for our website, booking pages, and Google Business Profile
Produce a polished hero piece every month
Capture Sonne Haus events and community moments

Qualifications

Short-form video skills, both shooting and editing
Working knowledge of digital photography and studio shooting
Working knowledge of continuous, RGB, and strobe lighting, plus equipment safety
Working knowledge of Lightroom, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro (or similar)
Social media content creation and caption writing
Proactive and able to deliver results with limited instruction
Extreme punctuality and consistency in meeting deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication
Strong attention to detail and a strong creative eye
A polished, well-groomed presentation and willingness to follow our studio dress code
